Best Doctors in Dallas Area

 

The number of doctors in Dallas County has jumped close to 12 percent-from 4,471 to 5,007 in the past four years-and Dallas Texas Area now have one doctor for every 443 residents. If you compare with same size of county as Dallas . like Maricopa, Arizona has one for every 1,313 and Denver county has one for every 486 residents. So Dallas Texas area is quite rich in terms of ratio of doctors to residents. That is one of the good factor to live in Dallas Texas area.

The largest group of doctors in Dallas practices internal medicine (794), followed by anesthesiologists (444), family practitioners (383), podiatrists (363), and obstetrician/gynecologists (316). The specialties that have grown the fastest in the past four years include oncology (45 percent), pulmonary disease (29 percent), and neurological surgery (29 percent). The only major area of medicine to show a decline has been urology, which went from 73 doctors to 67. The doctors selected for our list broadly represent the specialties with only a few relative concentrations in fields such as cardiology, Gastroenterology, and general surgery.
